Southern African Institute (ESAMI)
ESAMI is a service and market oriented institution, offering management
training and development programmes, consultancy and action-oriented
management research services. Most Southern African countries are
members. ESAMI is based in Tanzania.
Dell Amore Foundation (Italy)
Set up in the sixties to assist newly independent African states in
their efforts to develop their economies. Offers Training & Research,
Technical Assistance and Publication in Banking, Finance and other
areas relating to Economic Development.
Research and Training Institute (IRTI)
The purpose of IRTE is to undertake research and provide training
and information on economic, financial and banking activities in Muslim
countries. Based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

training in legal aspects of development.
Institute for Communication and Development
Independent non-profit training institute, established by the Netherlands
Government in 1997. IICD's mission is to assist developing countries
to realise locally owned sustainable development by harnessing the
potential of information and communication technologies.
Law Institute (ILI-Washington)
International Law Institute is an independent, not-for-profit organization.
ILI-Washington offers seminars in various aspects of law and economic
development. The training is directed both at the private and public

ILI opened its training centre in Uganda in 1997. The aim was to offer

JVI is a cooperative venture of six international organizations. They
provide training for officials of Central and Eastern European countries,

MEFMI is a regionally owned institute with 10 Southern & Eastern
African member countries. MEFMI's aim is to build sustainable human
and institutional capacity in macroeconomic and financial management
through training and capacity building. Based in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Nigerian NGO that conducts research and offers training, mainly in
Management and Finance.
African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM)
WAIFEM is a sub-regional training institute whose principal objective
is to build capacity for debt, macroeconomic and financial management
in its constituent countries in Western Africa. Based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Holds 500-600 learning programmes on various aspects of development
every year. The Institute is based in Washington, but also has 6 country
offices in other parts of the world.
Institute of Advanced Legal Education (ZIALE) (ZAMBIA)
Offers advanced training in Law. Also open for Law Graduates from
universities outside Zambia.
